Frequently Asked Questions

What is Telerehab?

In short: it is the opportunity to access physical therapy from anywhere (home or gym)

At Elevate Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, we offer virtual physical therapy from the comfort and safety of your home (or gym).  We bring our services to you so you may heal, build strength and get back to the things you love.  Virtual physical therapy lets find relief by connecting you with our licensed therapist through web-based technology. Sessions are delivered one-on-one (that’s just you and the physical therapist, the WHOLE time) in real-time and are private, secure and adhere to HIPAA requirements.

How do I know if this is right for me?

With the option for a 15-minute phone consultation, you can try the service free of charge.  Our physical therapist can provide you a detailed description of how Elevate Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation can work for your specific condition.

What will I need?

All you need is a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a camera, microphone and internet access to begin.

How is this different from seeing a Physical Therapist in an office?

Your session will be just you and your physical therapist, in an environment where you would normally function. This will allow for a better understanding of how you move in your everyday life and what is causing your pain. For example if normally you have your pain while washing dishes, then our physical therapist can watch you doing this activity in real time. The same can apply for working out or practicing a sport.

Do I need a prescription or referral from a doctor?

New Jersey is a Direct Access state meaning you DO NOT need a prescription for physical therapy or referral from your doctor.  However, we may request one to show medical necessity. All this can be explained in greater detail during your consultation or initial evaluation.

Do you accept Insurance?

Elevate Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation is a self-pay/fee for service practice. We will however, bill your insurance on your behalf for reimbursement. We want everyone to be able to access our services, so please call with any questions regarding payment.
